The inscription around the central starfield is an old norse translation from the Völuspá, the first section and best known poem of the Poetic Edda, dating back to the tenth century.
This passage comes directly from The Völva, a Norse witch or seeress from whom Odin seeks to learn what is coming.
It begs a question...and offers a warning. Translated to English it reads-
What do you ask? Why do you come here? I know where Odin's eye is hidden, in the famed well of Mimir; from Mimir each morning the Allfather drinks: Would you know yet more?
Old Norse Translation, as it appears on the cloth-
Hvers fregnith mik? Hvi freistith min? Alt veit ek, Odin, hvar auga falt, i inum mera Mimisbruni. Drekr mjoth Mimir morgun hverjan af vethi Valfothrs Vituth: er en etha hvat?
May the Norns smile upon you as you look to the stars for answers to questions yet unpondered.
